What About Fees?
The professionals listed on this registry have agreed to make individual, workable financial arrangements with you so that EMDR will be available for treating your war-related trauma. All participating therapists have agreed to offer a minimum number of "pro-bono" (no cost) EMDR sessions per month. In addition to these sessions, all of these professionals have agreed to offer a minimum number of low-cost EMDR sessions per month. Likewise, each professional will have their own fee structure and reimbursement options. Payment may be made in various ways via insurance, fee for service, credit card, Medicare, Medicaid, or other arrangements. You will find more information about options listed with each professional’s name on this registry and discussion directly with them. We hope this simplifies your decision.

How do I arrange for an appointment?
Simply call one of the professionals whose listing on this registry indicates they have current openings for veterans under this plan.
Discuss any of your questions and make arrangements directly with them.
- As suggested on the EMDR Institute web site (www.emdr.com), it is important that you take time to interview your prospective clinician.
Here are some questions you might ask when calling:
What training have you completed in EMDR? (Should be at least the 'basic training' two-part course, Level I and II.)
What experience
have you had with EMDR?
What is your success rate?
What is your experience in treating my particular problem?
Any additional questions
your may have.
- In addition, it is important that you feel a sense of trust and rapport with the professional. Every treatment success is an interaction
among clinician, client, and method.
